Missteps

To assume you wouldn't break your vows,
I guess I might have made a mistake.
This world carries so many secrets
And it's hard to accept this fall from grace.

The thing that you can't see,
What you cannot understand,
Is the viewpoint from the outside
And what's written in the sand.

But something that is so strong,
You have to know it resonates all around,
And the heartbreak you want to avoid,
Are your lies shattered around you on the ground.

Countless hours that you waste;
Being with you is her cure.
She can't leave you and move on
If you are not willing to release her.

Mistakes are just your missteps,
And you have wandered way off course.
Still He holds out His hand to you,
If you'll grab on even with remorse.

The thing that you will see,
Is her manipulating underhand
To own you as her coveted secret,
She hoped you'd never understand.

Something that is so dark,
You have to know it will poison your mind.
And the peace that you yearn for again,
Can be yours once you know and decide.

To take action to right what is wrong,
Like the forgiveness of the pure dove.
Follow the path that is lit with His light
Where there is faith, acceptance, and love.

Along Came a Spider

Before you knew it,
You were trapped inside her web.
Tangled and sideways,
Unable to free yourself.
How will you ever break free?
